Abouth Vespers

It has been a while since the Oratorio "Vespers to the Immaculate Heart of Mary with the Blessed Honoratus" was performed in Riga's St. Albert Roman Catholic Church - crowning the workshops led by composer and conductor Paweł Bębenek and long and diligent preparatory work. These Vespers were attended by 55 choristers from Latvia, Germany and Lithuania, 14 orchestra artists, the unique harpist from Poland Michał Zator, our friend the actor Ēriks Vilsons and the wonderful soloists Evita Zālīte, Juris Vizbulis and Rihards Millers. A huge amount of work and heart was put into our reception by the conductor of the St. Albert parish choir Ineta Gedroica with her assistants and the Capuchin brothers of the Friars Minor. As a testimony and gratitude, a small photo review and a letter from a workshop participant from Potsdam, Christian Rudolfs:
Dear friends!
"The fast-flowing hours of happiness..." - they have passed. Life goes on. Each of us has already returned home, to our families, to our daily lives, with all our work and responsibilities. The Church Year also continues. The 108th anniversary of the Miracle of the Sun was celebrated in Fatima.
And yet something still resonates, the melodies still sound inside. Memories: images, situations, details, close-ups and the broad picture

Our Mission

The Liturgical Music Workshops provide a space to cherish and share the beauty of liturgical music that we have experienced and continue to discover.

The Foundation behind these workshops has been established to support music workshops, the creation of new hymns and translations, the publication of sheet music, and the development of a digital library. Our goal is to offer everyone the opportunity to sing together, draw new inspiration, and find materials for their parish ministry—whether in the choir or as an organist.

We share a special connection with the tradition and creativity of Polish Dominican liturgical chants.
